Can't join farm; Data store on Oracle

I have an XPa farm (Win2K SP4, Metaframe XP SP4/FR3) of five servers. We had a power outage a while back and everything came up fine except one server would not connect to the farm.

Don't have the exact error messages. I've done a lot of searching and trying things others have tried but so far nothing has worked.

I can put the server in its own local data store without a problem. When I chfarm try and join the existing farm, everything appears to go fine until the last screen where you "Confirm Server Farm". This box is always empty.

I thought maybe it was just this server, so I built a test box and tried to add it to the existing farm and I get the same problem.

The other four servers seem to be ok. Can anyone make any suggestions as to what to try next?

I've tried recreating the LHC and moving it to a local data store and back to the farm. I don't think reinstalling anything on this server will make a difference since I could not get a freshly installed server to connect either.

I once had a trouble like this. I just couldn't get the server to join the farm.
I contacted a citrix technician, and he suggested to renaming the server, and then try to join it to the farm.
It worked. I was never able to make fet a server with the old name to join the server. I guess they pair the servername with the SID, an d make a unique key in the datastore. I was using Oracle too.

I'll try that, but I've already created a test server, which had a different name, and could not get it into the farm either.
