cant join domain after sysprep

Hello,

Not sure if this problem has been discussed before her but I`ll ask anyway.
Since we have new model hp workstations dc7100 the pc wont join a domain during the mini setup wizard after the sysprep clone has been loaded (ghost 8.2)I get an error that a workstation service is not installed... cant find anything in the logs. On the old models hp230 and hp330 I didnt have any problems after sysprep.I can join domain after pc has been cloned.I have seen this problem on other tech sites but no clear answer.

Is your NIC being recognized on the new workstation or do you have to install it after the installation?

The NIC is ok.. after reboot I just have to change from workgroup to domain. The machine also gets the correct FQDN

The only time I have seen this issue was when we were using Novell Client 4.9.

I am having the very same problem. In fact, after running sysprep 1.1 on a Win2K Pro desktop I get this behavior just like you've described. I cannot join the domain as part of the mini setup, but as soon as I reboot once, I can get in and join the domain with no problem.

I am hoping that you have found an answer to this problem.
