Hi,

I tried to install Windows XP on an AMD ATHLON Thunderbird 1200. The motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-7ZX rev 1.01. I have 128 Mo RAM and a 40 Go HD with a 6Go partition.

Each time I have the message " NTFS.SYS file is corrupted" in the first part of the installation. I tried with 3 differents CD and the problem still there.

Someone can help me ?

During the installation, delete the partition on the drive where you're putting xp. If that doesn't help, try swapping RAM (you're a little on the light side anyway).

sorry I Have 256 Mo Ram.

ok I will try to recreate the partition but I'm not sure the problem's there

Like Smah said, a big part of the weirds problems with OS are related to a bad RAM... try the installation with another DIMM if you can...
