Cant install windows updates-xp home edition

First, make sure all your browser windows are closed. Next, browse to:
C:\Program Files\WindowsUpdate
and look for a folder called V4 and/or V5.
If you find these folders, just move them to your recycle bin and then try again. It should work for you this time (at least it always does for me).
