can't install VMware workstation on Vista home edition?

All-

Neither 64 bit or 32 bit version seems to work. either by choosing Install or Run mode.. nothing but initial failure messages...

Can anyone just confirm for me that this is a wasted effort for Vista Home Edition?

WS6 can be installed on Vista Home. Check the version of Workstation you are running against the version listed in the doc

Don't know about workstation but I have Vmware Server 1.03 installed on Vista Home Premium and it works well

I had workstation 6 running on vista home premium without any problems. Maybe there is network connection limit on basic same as there was in xp home
