Can't install Nortel VPN after MS Jet Engine SP8 installed

Recently became aware of a major issue affecting the Nortel VPN client. If user updates their machine with Microsoft's patch for Jet Engine SP8, they will not be able to isntall the Nortel Client (we have 4.65.26, may affect other versions as well). MS Jet SP8 is requried for Access 2003 and other components of Office 2003.

Nortel has no work around in place yet, except to uninstall the patches from MS, then install the client, then install the patches again. This is no good for new images being sent out which have the updates as part of the build.

I beleive the problem also exists with Microsoft .net Framework 1.1.

Thank you bcastner, but this is an unrelated issue to the one you meniotned, which we're aware of as well.
I have spoken to Nortel regarding this issue. They've been aware of the porblem since early March, but have no resolution or work around.
