Can't install networked printer 1

Two, new clean installs of Win2K on a peer to peer network in same workgroup. HP Laser 4L installed on PC1, but PC2 can't find it. Checked that printer was installed and shared. Both computers can find the other in "computers near me". Using the printer install Wizard goes fine, except the printer doesn't show up on the network, and forcing the install by typing in the path and computer name results in "the network path not found" Both computers can reach the internet just fine through a shared hub and Linksys router; they seem to see each other on the net. But PC2 sure can't find the printer on PC1.

Any ideas appreciated

Are you sure your logged in as the administrator? And you are sure your typing in the path correct \\PC1\printername? Don't mean to insult, just clarifying. Matt Wray
