can't install GCC compiler missing CC compiler

cc is a symlink to gcc. It should be in /usr/bin/. I can't imagine an install that doesn't have it, but if it doesn't your going to need a lot more than just the compiler. You are going to need a ton of libraries and other things. Check all the gcc* packages that came with your distro.
