I have an HP Digital Copier Printer 610. I cannot get the drivers to install in Windows 2000, (either service pack 3 or 4). When I plug it into the USB port, it finds unknown hardware. I search the CD that came with it, which says Windows 2000, and it tells me it’s unable to find the drivers for my device. I downloaded drivers from HP. Same story. I can install the all-in-one software, but can’t connect to the scanner or printer through it. Yet, I can go through the Add Printer function, choose the drivers for the HP Deskjet 610, install them, and I can print to the printer. I’ve gone through all of the troubleshooting steps on the HP website several times. I spent an hour and a half on the phone with HP and nothing they told me to try worked. I don’t know what else to try. Anyone?
Thank you.
