Can't insert or delete page(s)

I get an internal error: Table is still checked out 8012:20552.
I was trying to delete page 8, and I get the illegal operation & shut down.
If I try to delete two pages, everything works fine, except that I need what is on the next page. So my next bright idea was to insert a page, so when I deleted two pages it would work.

Actually, I can insert a page, but I cannot go to any pages before or after the insertion point (it gives me that same error)

I am new to using PM 6.5, and of course I am desparate for an answer. I don't even know what a "table" is.

You need to go to the Adobe website and search the knowledge base see the link below...

You need the document for a damaged file. You will need to look up the version and the system you are using such as Pagemaker 7 on Win. 2000
in the search field type in damage and troubleshooting.
There are things you can try to remove the corruption from the file before it gets to the point you can not open the file.
Something on the two pages you can not remove have developed corruption.
