I am trying to replace a hard drive in an external Disk Array. When I first put the new drive in I initalized it and then the next day I initialized the other five disks before creating a new logical volume. I was not able to create the new logical volume. Now the Disk Manager is telling me that the new disk is in use and can't be re-initialized. When I do an HINV I can see the new disk but it is not appearing in the Filesystem manager. please help...

Hi,
most likely problem could be the label corruption.

or

You have mounted the drive already.
