Can't Initialize Printer

Ok, I have an instructor that has installed FreeHand MX and can't print. Normally we don't support software that we haven't installed, but since I am a nice guy I told her I would give it a try. She gets an error saying that the printer can't be initialized when she tries to print from the File Menu, but I can get into the print options. The printers were installed before the program was loaded, and the rest of the applications use each of our network printers fine. The only thing I haven't tried yet is reloading the FreeHand software. Any suggestions?
