Cant import PDF because of security permissions

Hi All
I am using Adobe Acrobat 5.0. I opened a pdf document I made a few days ago, extracted one page and 'saved as pdf' with a new name.

I opened my Quark 4.01 document, tried to import the pdf (using 'get pic')and got the error message 'Security permissions are set, or it is password protected'

I have imported loads of pdfs into my Quark doc before and now it wont work whatever new pdf I create. Our IT guy is baffled...he says I have all the permissions needed, the properties show no security.

Any ideas please?
