can't import foreign disk

About a week ago I picked up an AMS Venus DS5 USB2/Firewire combo external enclosure for my Maxtor 250 gig. I am able to view the drive on my computer, on Windows XP Pro SP1.

However,
any other computer, will not read the drive. I go into disk management, and i right click, my only action option is to Convert to Basic, and i dont want to lose my data.

I looked all on google, and it says to "Import Foreign Disk" but I can't, I can't see that option for the life of me. All AMS had was some tray icons for the drive, and all that does for me is tells me there's no drives detected.

AS per this MSKB article:
"NOTE: Dynamic disks are not supported on portable computers or on Windows XP Home Edition-based computers."
