I have an Excel Spreadsheet that I'm trying to import into Access (both Excel and Access are 2002), and I keep getting a message that says "An error occurred trying to import file 'C:\path\filename'. The file was not imported." The Excel file is just a list of names, addresses, and telephone numbers, and there's nothing unusual about it that I've been able to see. I can import other Excel spreadsheets fine. The problem file was created by another user, but there's nothing about his setup that should cause it to be unusual. I can export the spreadhseet to a .csv file and import it, but I don't like not knowing what causes a problem. Any ideas out there?

I think i had a similar problem in the past where a user had applied filters on the spreadsheet, removed the filters sheet imported. Just a thought. Alternatively try linking the spreadsheet, the gremlins might then be a little more obvious.
