I have been tasked to REKEY data FROM: a MS Outlook Contacts File: a print-out is a fellow workers partial cut & Paste list of Vendor contact list from his MS Outlook file. hand key it in our company TO: MS SharePoint Contact file.
I know there is a way, but I'm running into a few snags.
1. I am trying to avoid reinventing the wheel. I'd like to export MS Outlook Contacts folder, into an .xls spreadsheet. Tweek-out personal contacts data.
2. Then save this tweeked excel file as a csv file, in order for MS SharePoint to accept it as a csv file.
3. Export from MS Outlook into MS SharePoint or Import from From MS SharePoint.
I Don't think MS will allow my company, an enduser the backend of the SharePoint. What are my options at this point?
Forgive me It's my first day with SharePoint. I am hoping my Access and VB are up to this challange. The time I've wasted today on this is going to interfear with my new position position. If there is no easy code and I'll be satisfied with re-keying everything in ...but as a designer at heart, I know there is always a way. I just need a flashlight at this point. Others have tried, but this is a puzzel and I can't leave it alone until I know for sure that there is an easier way or not.
