I'm trying to implement this feature. It supposed to allow a secretary to move the ongoing 2-party call of her boss onto an 8-party conference bridge, and add callers to the conference.
This is SV9500. The programming steps are pretty easy, just 4 steps. The manual says this feature depends on the A-121, Add-on Conference 8-party feature, which is in place and is working fine.
What I'm running into is this:
- First, per the manual, you use the ASPA command to assign an access code for this feature. After some failure, I found that my Hotel/Motel system uses AASP, not ASPA.
- So I want to use "*1" as access code. Before any programming, *1 gives me fast busy. Then I program AASP and ASFC (SFI=250) for the secretary phone. When I want to test, I can dial *1 just fine. Now I'm supposed to enter the station of the "boss" where the on-going call is happening. As soon as I hit the next digit after *1, I get a fast-busy. This next digit would be the first digit of the phone number of the Boss station. So if the Boss station is 5000, I would need to dial *15000. So I dial *15 and that's when I get fast-busy.
Then I tried and actually no matter what digit I dial after *1, I get fast busy. I have other access codes working fine, like *3 is call forward-busy. I dial *3, I get a special dial tone, and I can enter the destination number for call forward.
So I believe I'm missing something simple. So again, this is Hotel/Motel system, the 8-party bridge is programmed on a VS32. I have a fusion license, and some features are programmed with N commands. For example, the secretary can only dial the *1 if I use ASFCN command instead of ASFC.
So I figured that much out, but still, I don't know what else to look at. Again, I can now dial *1, but as soon as I dial the next digit (and no matter what digit is that), I get a fast busy.
