Can't hit server from the outside (Windows 2008 server)

I have done this many times without a problem But this is my situation.

I set up a Windows 2008 server that is running,

* Sharepoint 3.0,
* SQL Server 2008.
* My router/Modem is a Verizon DSL Router/Modem.
* My internal IP network is 192.168.1.x.
* My server is a static IP (192.168.1.5)
* It is running DNS and Active Directory
* I have the DNS address on the router set as the Server DNS (192.168.1.5)
* I placed the server (192.168.1.5) in the DMZ on router
* I set port forwarding (80, 21) to 192.168.1.5 on router
* I can ping the DHCP IP address assigned by my ISP from anywhere
* It does not resolve the host thus cannot reach the web server from the outside basically it stops and some tools are telling port 80 is blocked because port 21 gets through
* I have the firewall wide open on both the router and server (just to test)
* The problem sounds like DNS but I don't know where (router or active directory)
* ANY IDEAS...Burning way to much time on this and like I said I have made this work before (WIndows 2003 server and Windows XP)

Use

http://www.canyouseeme.org

to test if port 80 is getting a reponce. Run the test on the computer hosting the site.

When frustrated remember, in the computer world there is almost always a backdoor.
