I get no sound out but it looks like the sound is playing .I ran Directx diag and got [ 0x80004005 generic failure ] .The device is " C-Media Wave ". I try to load a new driver and it say that I am missing a system file . I sure need some help on this one ! I don't know which way to go ! SB

If you have all the drivers for you sound card you can allways remove it and then reboot it will reinstall on login. It might help you problem.

Click on the speakers icon located on your taskbar of the Windows Desktop (right hand lower corner). It could be that the "Mute" Control has been activated; then no sound will cout out of your speakers. Delete the check mark on the "Mute" control and everything will be fine.
