Hi,
I have a user who is complaing that when a caller reaches her voicemail and dials 0 the caller doesnt hear any ringing after "one moment while I transfer you to the attendant". If the attendant doesnt answer quickly (sometimes 5-7 seconds) the users is concerned the caller will get confused or think the call has been dropped.

Is there a way to enable the ring for the caller when being transfered to the attendant?

Check the status of the option Music on Transfer for Trunks, Stations and VM

Thanks for the really fast reply.
Music on Hold on Transfer is not enabled in COS, nor is it enabled in System Options.

I would have guessed that if it were enabled and no music provided you would hear silence but since it isnt should you be hearing the attendant ringing?

Ok, next check if supervised transfer is enabled on the vm

We are using Nupoint 14.2.2 so I am not sure where to find that.
I googled supervised transfer and they seem to be pointing to that feature in call flow director.
We have the problem where we dont hear the ringing when a called hits 0 to go to the attendant.

Would have been nice for you to mention Nupoint a little sooner.

When I set up nupoint I always add a +H to the attendant dialing strings. This causes the system to dial 0 wait 1 sencond and then hang up (Blind Transfer)
