Can't hear callers with PRI 6.1

We have a customer with Norstar 6.1 and two PRIs that have been working fine until recently. 3 times in the last couple of weeks they have aquired a serious problem, incoming calls to the system cannot be heard by either receptionist answering the calls but the callers can hear her. PRI LEDS on the Norstar equipment as well as the PRI interfaces are all OK. PRI provider ensures us that the PRIs are OK and have not changed. Resetting the KSU will clear the prob.We suspect there is an AC power prob and will try to convince the customer to change his UPS units on spec. B4 we do this I'm curious if anyone out there has run across this.PLS Reply.
 
assuming both DTIs are in the core - ivent run into one of these
are u in the latest 6.1 (the one released after march 2004?)

if it is not happening in both the DTIs ...it could be a bad DTI card as indicated by jimhusted
 
Other than the cards, you would have to try to deprovision certain channels to prove it is a telco problem.

Which is very time consuming and frustrating- since your calls don't come in sequentially and you cannot put the channels of a PRI on a set or cap, like you can with a T-1.

Thanks for the input Guys. I am rather late getting back on a post about this because I wanted to talk to the Telco tech who worked on the PRIs.This is what he tells me. One of the 2 PRIs did go down after a thunderstorm, the Telco got an alarm and they replaced some of their equipment for the one PRI. They believed that things were OK but in reality, the Telcos equipment and the Norstar PRI equipment were no longer in sync for that 1 PRI and some calls were not getting thru and at times, there were no lines available. When we did a reboot on the Norstar the PRI went back in sync. Call processing went back to normal. This happened twice in one week, creating confusion and a bit of finger pointing between us and the telco. The Norstar LEDS gave no indication of a sync problem. So that's the story.
