Hello Friends,
I made report by using Crystal report 8.0.
My seagate Info is version 7.0.2.200

Everytime when i finish a report I will save it as version 7.0 in order to make seagate Info to publish it online.

Everything works fine except my customized group tree name is lost.

For Example, My group tree list is :
1.00
2.00
3.00
I customized them in crystal report to be :
January
February
March
but after I posted the report online, the group tree came back to be :
1.00
2.00
3.00
Anybody has any idea ??
Thanks in advance.

Yuli

Are you talking about the 'Customize Group Name Field' option in the 'Change Group Options' dialogue box? The reason you lose your customized names is because this feature is not available in CR7.

You could get around this feature, however, by basing your group on a Formula. This involves some work on your part as you will have to set up a Specified Sort Order for the months. Keep in mind that Specified Sort Order by string-based Month only works if you have 1-year's worth of data. If your data spans multiple years, then the Months will combined. If this is the case, you will need to preface the Month Value with a Year value (ex: 02-January)

Lastly, if you base your group on a formula then grouping will be performed client-side rather than server-side.
