I have been working with Nortel for over six months on this issue. The problem is when I install any I2004 or i2050 set over 6 and it comes up with terminal id 6 since the terminal id numbers start with 0, and the set will see the bcm and display the company name on the phone. If I add sets after 7 it comes up fine its just the 7 set. If I get a power glitch and all the phones restart (i know they should have UPS's) one of them will come up unlucky station id 6 / set 7 and not work. If this was not the case I would just put a phone no uses out there and make sure it got id 6 and leave it, but its a waste.
I checked all the ip's and there is no conflict. I have removed and replaced the keycodes, I had a bad BFT and replaced it. Nortel sent me drives and I am supposed to change them out this weekend.
It seems like a port issue with the bcm, one way communication with the phone. I have a registration password set and i get the prompt for password, can get to the dn selection and then it just gets the name and sits there. Under unified manager the set shows the correct dn I entered, and offline with a terminal id of 6.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, and sorry about the rant.
