I have a WIN 2k server w/ SP3 running a VPN server. My clients are XP and can log into the server, ping, and trace route to any computer on the remote network. I can goto "run" and type \\x.x.x.x and browse shares on the remote computers. Everything appears to be working until I attempt to create a LAN game in a program like Warcraft 3, or C&C generals. There the computers just refuse to see each other. If the game is run from the VPN server and the remote client then everything is great, I can see other games, and I am able to connect. But if I try from any other computer then they just dont see each other.

I think it might be somthing in my routing table but I dont know enough about them to find and fix the problem.

Please help.
Geoff

Hello

I´ve been looking for information on this problem too. Has nobody out there tried this, this seems like such a logical extension of LAN gaming sessions...

Regards
Patrick

Not Sure, but look at you FW log and see what is being dropped or rejected. Is the VPN server a separate box then the FW? Are you encrypting udp highports to the gameserver?
