Hi,

We've just installed a Cisco 2800 Series phone system and I can't seem to hit the admin pages.

My Data IP schema is:-

172.29.83.x

My Voice IP schema is:-

172.30.83.*

Phones are on 172.30.0.*

I've set a route up on my PC as:-

Route Add 172.30.0.0 MASK 255.255.0.0 172.29.83.240

83.240 being the Cisco Switch that links the Phone kit to the Data network.

I can ping the phones, Phone Switch (172.30.83.2) but I can't get http through!

Any ideas?

My default gateway is 172.29.83.5 which is my SBS 2003 server, it's running ISA Firewall but as I've got a direct route, surely I don't need to do any Firewall configuration?

Cheers in advance,
Carl.

Unless your Cisco switch is a layer 3 switch running a routing protocol, I doubt the route add statement helps. Configure a port on the switch to be in the same VLAN as your 2800 172.30.X.X IP, cahnge your IP on your PC to 172.30.X>X and see if you can HTTP in from there. If so, you have a Firewall issue would be my guess.
