We've been trying to get into a new customers's BCM 1000, but we can't figure out the IP address. The default IP address does not work. We tried "acewarlock"'s solution of using a serial port, but we didn't see the main menu with any options of selecting a 2 or a Q. We're using element manager on our PC to try to connect, should we be using different software?

Element mgr is for Bcm 4.0, BCM450, & BCm 50. What rls is your system? if it's 3.x u should be using unified mgr via IE. The url will be the BCM ip

try using the second NIC in the bcm maybee its still default LAN2 ip address. Then once your in you'll be able to view the ip of LAN1. Or if you have any ip phones look at the address they're pointing to.

A BCM 100 only has 1 lan card.
Using the serial port you need to use Hyper terminal or try tel net.

All the Bcm1000 i installed had 2 NIC cards.

If your BCM is on the lan, try to get a copy of IPANGRYSCAN

Run it on your network and it list all the IP Devices connected. If the BCM is on the same subnet it will identify
itself
