Can't get settings for dialup connection to save 1

When I go to the Tools tab and select Internet options I change the connections settings to always dial my default connection. I then select apply and ok this. When I go back to my computer after logging off the setting will have changed back to never dial a connection.
I do not know what else to do to save these changes/settings
Please advise

Have you tried connecting immediately after applying the change? I realize this is an IE setting, but many times you have to connect successfully after applying a dial up setting to get it to save.

Also update your virus scanner and run a full scan, do the same thing for spyware.

If that fails, try the good old "REPAIR INTERNET EXPLORER" option from within Add/Remove programs. Has been know to solve a multitude of problems
