Similar to 3Saturns' problem only mine can't even access locally. OWA is fine, SonicWALL VPN is fine, I am running two NICs and followed all the procedures to enable RWW. This might be a clue: when I type from outside, I go to the companyweb, where OWA works but nothing else.

When I type from inside, I get the SonicWALL login screen. Maybe I need to open the ports on the SonicWALL, but internally I'm pointed to internal NIC of the machine, I get a "The page cannot be displayed" error. Any ideas?

Tony

I've disabled the SBS firewall completely, the NIC of this machine points directly to the NIC of the server, http:\\servername\remote I get a certificate warning (good sign),then "You are not authorized to view this page" even when I am logged in on a client as Network Admin.

I'd look at the IIS's security properties of this virtual directory.

Hope This Helps, PH.

Thanks all...I've called in the cavalry...I have a date with a surgeon next week and will be out of the office for a month or more so I want a pro to know my backup scheme and help me get this and other things sorted before I take off. He's an MCSE and laser-fast, I want access to the server while I'm out to check the EventLogs etc. PLUS my fiddling has taken down my previously-working SonicWALL VPN [nosmiley] and I know when I'm out of my league.

I will post back with the cure...I log EVERYTHING!

Huh??? HalComps your knowledge speaks for itself but that chatspeak has got to go...we want to understand you 100% of the time, plus there's a lot of non-native English speakers here that can't follow along (especially those UK folks [smile]). It's actually in the rules somewhere, easy to miss, about avoiding abbreviations. Thanks for your help though, you are definitely an asset to this forum.

MCSE came & went, did not even charge me [smile]. Seems enabling SBS firewall took out the SonicWall VPN, disabled it and good to go. Also, I can log in to the server as Administrator@mydomain.local using Sonicwall VPN and have access to the server desktop...all I really cared about anyway. I've had VPN access for our company for six months, nobody's even asked how to use it, so why bother with RWW? Everyone's happy with OWA.

Thanks to those who tried to help.

Tony

HalComps, please, as already pointed out by Tony, STOP this CHATSPEAK.
