Cant get rid of error messages.

All of a sudden, when I run a database that I created 2 years ago (access 97) I cant look at the tables without getting a fatal error caused by the main exe file.
I ran the reinstall program-same result. But if I install it on another computer it works ok. Also.
If I run it from the cd there are no errors.
How do you really reinstall this program? Anybody?
