I cannot get reports to open (in any view) or any of the print functions to run in any of my databases. When I double-click a report, nothing happens. When I select File-->Print, nothing happens. All other components of my databases operate properly. All the data is there, and my queries and forms are working fine.

I am aware that having no printers installed can cause this type problem. However, I am mapped to 3 different printers in the building and can print successfully from other applications.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Can you open a report in 'design mode'?

Thanks for the response, Greg.

I can't get reports to open in either design or print view. When I try to use a button on a form that's linked to a report, I get a VB run-time error that points to the OpenReport command.

You must designate a default printer in the Windows Control Panel. If this doesn't work, try designate a different printer or update your printer drivers.

Thanks for the reply, Duane. I changed my default printer, and my Access functionality came back.

Unfortunately, the printer I mapped to is not one that I WANT to be my default, so I'm going to have to keep switching back and forth. Or fix the root problem, which it sounds like is in the printer driver.
