Have set static IP, subnet mask, and default gateway (Which for some reason keeps resetting from 192.168.0.1 to 192.1687.0.0 but the system still refuses to be recognized on my Win2K network. Does anyone have any suggestions? I have tried using the TCPCON utility to troubleshoot but the only thing that looks odd is the TCP send and recieve totals are the same.

Hi there.
I was just getting ready to answer your other post when I noticed that this one was more recent.

Check your autoexec.ncf file for the following:

If there's a line that calls initsys.ncf, REM it out with a semi-colon.

You should have the following lines (I'll pretend that your NIC is a 3Com one & it's in PCI slot 2. I'll also name it nic_1. I'm also assuming that you're using a 24 bit subnet mask):

load tcpip
load 3c90xc.lan slot=2 frame=ethernet_ii name=nic_1
bind ip nic_1 addr=192.168.0.x mask=255.255.255.0 gate=192.168.0.1

That's really all that you have to do to get it talking to the network.

Good luck

If that doesn't work, let me know.
