Can't get Micros interface to print

I'm trying to create an interface that prints a simple string but the printer doesn't seem to receive anything. So I created a message box outputting the values of @CHK, @RCPT, and @JNL. All are set to 0. According to a manual I found on the Internet, the command "startprint 0" doesn't do anything. How do I set up my printer for this to work?

If by interface you mean SIM, then the workstation has to have printers actually assigned to it in POS Configurator -> System -> Workstations, Prints Tab.
