We have a "workgroup" network of 9 XP machines and a few printers. Our Canon Imagemaker 400 copier has a network card and I am trying to get it networked so people can use it as a printer. I have the drivers from the Canon site. The trouble is I can't get the IP address from the machine as no menu option in the onbaord utility has that information. With our HP printers I could display the printer's IP addresses with no problem. Is there a way to see the IP address from inside the network. The Linksys DHCP routing table only shows IP addresses of the computers on the network.

Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

Can you print a configuration test page using the menu?

I found a Canon Image runner 400 on Canon's web site, it had multiple ethernet cards possible and no owner's manuals to download that I found.

I tried to remain child-like, all I acheived was childish.

Do you have a good link on your printer?

Typically, you need to assign a static IP address to these devices, which is usually done through the setup on the printer/copier. The setup info should have been included with the machine, if not, bug the sales rep to get the info.
