reboot standby server and now can't get to web browser.Tried stoping and restarting CM.still no luck . Was able to before reboot.

what does statusserver show you from the active server.

It shows up and in standby .I can telnet to the address and get into the server ,I just cannot get to the web interface of the server.never seen this one before.

Is this an 87xx? They have a third controller IP address try that.

In the standby i have a license not valid for standby.

I am connecting to the cust lan address. just wiered because this was fine before we did a reboot on that server.Had to do that because the modem was not being seen

If you have a licence error I suggest you intercange back to the main. Browser should be ok then.

I am running on server a now ,when i log into server b i get a CM license status not valid for standby check active

ok on server b what happens when you type statuslicense? What output is given ?

Are you in a position to connect a laptop to the services port ? If so can you confirm the following:

Under security tab on the Web Browser, is port 80 and 443 enabled? If not change them so they are.

The standby server will always give License not vaild, check active server.. That is the way it is designed.

I would suggest rebooting the problem server again

If httpd is not running, you cannot use a browser.

Try this command from linux and see if the httpd service is running.

dadmin@S8300> ps -eaf | grep http
root 17236 1 0 Jun12 ? 00:00:15 /usr/sbin/httpd
apache 8753 17236 0 Aug08 ? 00:00:08 /usr/sbin/httpd
apache 8754 17236 0 Aug08 ? 00:00:09 /usr/sbin/httpd
apache 16589 17236 0 Aug08 ? 00:00:08 /usr/sbin/httpd
dadmin 8518 8467 0 06:36 pts/0 00:00:00 grep http
