I am trying to put flashing lights to simulate lightning in an animtion in Bryce5. If I put one gel light in one frame, then it's in every frame but if I take those lights out of a few frames in between, I get no lights at all in any of the frames!! What the heck am I missing??????

Thanks for any help you can offer

the replys a bit late but i thought id add it for future reference

dunno if this any good, but when i attempted it i just moved a sphere over the light sorce for each frame i wanted dark and then moved it away agin. it worked, but make sure the sphere go's entirly out of shot.

hope you still arn't looking for a solution :)

The only way I could get it to work was to move the light underground so it would get rid of the light source. It was a bit of a pain but it worked.

I think I know how to do it. Move to the timeframe where you want the light off, go to the edit of the light, and turn the intensity to 0. When you want it again, just turn it back.

That changes it as well for the whole animation but thanks.

You could create a bunch of lights with different gels (or no gels at all. Then you could alternate between them, setting all unused lights to 0 intensity. Make sure you know which light is which, though!
