Can't get display adapter to work

I formatted my sisters computer and now it won't install her drivers for her adapter properly. She has a Compaq and a Samsung SynMaster 750 monitor
If anyone has any ideas pleas let me know

Suggest that you download from the manufacturer the latest drivers for her computer.

Use add new hardware in the Control Panel and tell Windows where the drivers are.
