Hi, I'm trying to get connected to a table that contains over 40 fields and 75 000 records using ado in vb. When I open the recordset, I got an ODBC error... I'm sure that my code is ok cause I got to get connected to some other tables yet. What can I do ???

Update, I've found that the data are in a .dbf file, I got a .cdx file for the index and finally I have a .zif file.

Have you set up the DBF ODBC driver?

There's always a better way...

Since there is a .CDX index file, then this is probably a FoxPro or Visual FoxPro table, and not necessarily a dBase-compatible table. (This is a dBase forum, so if the prior post did not help you, you may want to try posting your query on a more appropriate forum.)
