Can't get commission report to work

I can't seem to get commission due function to work, according to the manual "when progression find the customer type that matches the customer type on the order being entered it uses corresponding commission percentage"

Ok this make sense to me except that when you are entering an order there is no place to put customer type? I understand where to go setup the salesperson and the types with commission percentage..

Also on the billing screen I have typed the commission in manually to no avail.. still not showing up on commission due report.

Please direct me to the correct way of tracking commissions.

ok, the customer type is attached to the customer master file. You then can go into salesman maintenance and choose a commission percent for each customer type (up to 10) on the salesman screen. If that customer type / salesman combination is used on an invoice, the commission percent field and amount field on the 3rd page of order billing should be populated.

The commission due report in AR should then show the information.
