Hi.
We are configuring a 3300 ICP and facing some problems to get the busy tone. After called party cancel/reject a call it takes around 50 sec to drop the call, and there isn't busy tone. If the call is never answered, it take almost the same time to get the voicemail.
We change several time parameters but nothing happens.
It looks like camp on was "on" but we double check it and it isn't.
Any ideas ?
Thanks in advance
Rgds.

Dry Aquaman,

When the Called Party rejects a call (no Voicemail configured), the Calling Party remains ringing instead of receives a busy tone. This scenario also is reproduced for internal calls.

I need a busy tone after the Target rejects the call.

When Target doesn't answer the call, this same behavior is oobserved. Originator remains ringing for a minute.

Thanks,

How are they "rejecting" the call? What do they physically do?

Don't think you can do what you want anyway. i.e go to busy if a call is unanswered or "rejected"

The single biggest problem with communications is the illusion that it has taken place.

If a user rejects a call, I need a busy tone instead of remains ringing for a minute.

If a user doesn't answer the call, the Originator should be disconnected instead of remains ringing for around a minute.

Thanks,

Can you confirm the auto camp-on timer for the phone and trunk class of service has been blanked. And not set to zero.

Still don't think you ever can get a busy on a no answer condition which is what he wants.

Yes Rad of busy tone would work as long as you had enough RADs. If the RAD port busy you will not get the recording unless you set it up in a RAD group and have it camp on.

Would RAD recording on busy tone work on a "reject" as he requests? Not that the 3300 has a reject feature.

You can have Camp on - Ringback to caller

You can have Busy

You can't have both. Mutually exclusive.
