I have a NT server and most of the hosts on it are Win2K.
First of all, if I have the VPN on my PC set up
for "Require data encryption (disconnect if none)" I
cannot ping the server. If I deselect the encryption
option, I can ping the server and get into it with
pcAnywhere and VNC. I keep the connection and can do
anything I need.
If I use pcAnywhere to go to a host on the network, it
starts up and then freezes. I cannot interact with the
host at that point. If I try to VNC into a host, I get a
message back saying, "Failed to connect to server."
Is this an encryption issue or a tunneling protocal issue?
The server is set up for PPTP.
