I recently installed a new CICS at a residence. Also installed a doorphone as Ext. 36 and a Panasonic cordless phone on the ATA port (Ext. 37). Doorphone rings Operator phone (21) and all other phones with an "ANS DN" programmed.

Trying to get the doorphone to ring the cordless so client can answer when outside by the pool. I've tried programming Ext. 37 to "ANS DN 36" and "ANS DN 21" to no avail.

Additionally, I've tried "Appear & Ring" & "Ring Only" 36 on 37, also with negative results.

Am I missing something or can't this be done? Will the Aux Ring port allow me to add an external ringer to the doorphone?

Thanks in advance,

Luv2ski is correct.
There are other ways to do it though...
Hunt groups, or make the door phone ring the ATA, then put an answer DN for DN 37 everywhere else.

or make the door phone ring the ATA"

That's my question. How do I make the doorphone ring the ATA? The cordless phone must remain on the ATA port...

Uhhh, I just explained how. Change doorphone to ring 37 instead of 21. program answer DN's appropriately.

Got it! I was trying to "read between the lines" and missed your explanation. A little slow today...

Thanks!

Have the door phone ring the Hunt group, put all ext's including the cordless that you want the door phone to ring in the Hunt.
All phones will ring.

Well...client doesn't want to wake up the whole house when the doorphone rings. Can I exclude specific phones from the hunt group without affecting incoming calls on L1? (Sorry...I haven't played with hunt groups much).

You don’t have any hunt groups as you are currently configured for 2 digit DN's. You would have to change that first. Easiest way is previously described.

Didn't see the 2 digit ext's numbers on the post.
My mistake, hunt groups work on 3 digit dn's and up.
Do as bkrike said.
But to answer your question, yes you can.
