Hello,

My uncle and I were trying to install OSX on a G4 tower that has a 9 gig hard drive. It kept prompting about not being able to shutdown when we tried running the OSX Jaguar install. He proceeded to trash the finder stating "it was something he had done before" to get the osx to take. Anyways now the mac won't boot at all, we can't get the installs for os9 or osx to work and it doesn't nothing basically.. Any help?

First obvious steps, put the Mac OS X Install disk in the CD-rom drive and press the 'C' key or the 'Option' key during boot up. Holding the'Option' key will give you a boot selection system, the Boot CD should appear there and your Hard drive icon if the system is installed.
Of course try with 'Shift' key down too later to boot in Safe Mode. Let us know how that goes.

.:TUCK:.
