can't get a reply from server

Hi,
my networks are using 3Com 3C59X NIC for the workstation and they are dos-based with remote boot from the server
We are planning to move to Compex RL100ATX NIC but the problem is everytime I try to remote boot using RL100ATX the NIC cannot get a reply from the server,thus the workstation cannot get into the dos system.
Can anyone help me?
