You cannot cover a cover, and I THINK you cannot cover a forward. If you are using the phontom to catch the DLC calls, and have them ring other calls, that is the problem. Have the main extension be the phontom, and cover it on the DLC, and on any other phones you want, and that should take care of it. (8 Max)
In this case I'm not covering anything. All I'm doing is trying to Forward a station to a phantom/adjunct. In the Features manual it does not list any restrictions with Forwarding on stations or adjuncts that I could find. It even gives any example using an answering machine. I also just tried the same thing on another customer's switch which has R6.0 software on it. Same result, takes the forwarding but the call goes nowhere!
OK, you forward to the phantom, and nothing happens. What happens when you call the phantom directly? In other words, does it "ring" somewhere?, and if so, how, since a phantom isn't physical?
