We have a weird problem with call forwarding, all our phones can forward to an external 206 area code number which was our area code when the system was installed. Our current area code is now 425 and only a few of the phones can forward to it.

I am a technical type but not familiar with the verbal short or acronyms that I see people using on here.

This is a short term situation we are evaluating a virtual VOIP PBX from Covad and need to forward some internal extensions during the trail period.

that's not real easy for quick fix, look at load 90, prt 0 net ac1 npa npa 1205, that will give you a rli, do the same with 1425, then do a change on the 1425, chg 0 net ac1 npa npa 1425, return down to rlb and enter the same rlb, that may be all you need, if not paste the npa print and i'll see is i can spot it

Check the NCOS of the stations and compare it to the FRL
on the RLB for NPA 1425. If some of the stations NCOS # is equal to or greater, those are the stations able to dial out.
I suspect the others NCOS is lower which will block them.

if that was the case you couldn't call the number, the strated problem was can call, can't cfxa, might just need the correct npa in the cdb as the loc

All he said was that some of the phones could forward out.
He needs to check to see if the phones that can't forward out, also can't call out to 1425 xxx xxxx. If so, then my previous post still applies. If they can call out, but can't forward out then your are correct. Maybe need to check "CFXA" in CLS. But he did say they could do it before the NPA change.

How do you set the FDN to forward immediately rather than in 4 rings?

John De Leon

You can't, unless you hard callfwd the set.
The number of rings before it forwards is a system wide paramater and is set in the CDB (LD 15) in the
RDR_DATA/CFNA (default is 4 rings)

you have 3 options for fna, in your class you can define rco 0 1 and 2, mine or set to 3 5 and 7, then the rco on the phone makes it possible to give users a choice..
