I've never seen this before. All of our users can access the db, except one. I'm having trouble finding any decent info on the net.

Can anyone give me some clues as to why this is happening? Thank you!

1. Is this database split (frontend/backend) and a copy of the frontend on each user's computer?

2. Does the user in question have full - read/write/delete rights for the folder where the frontend is and also the backend? If not, they should.

3. Is this user using a different version of Access than everyone else, or is everyone on the same version (which version?)?

Not split, everyone accesses it from the same location. User has full access rights. Access 2000, all on the same version.

Multiuser and not split is like playing Russian Roulette. You should NOT run a multiuser Access application without it being split and a COPY of the frontend on each user's machine.

See here for more about that:

So, before going any further - split the database and give each user a separate copy of the frontend. (you can use my free auto update enabling tool, if you wish to never have to send them an updated frontend ever again - see my signature for a link to my website with that).
