Can't find the hard drive when booting up

Hi,

I had 2 hard drives on a Dell and removed 1, now it won't boot or anything. what could be the problem?

Usually , they are master and slave on primary controller. If you pulled master you probably took away the system files. That would be the first guess. Ed Fair
