cant find temp folder

win 7/64 on desktop. I've just developed a problem. When I download a program on installing I get a message "Can not create temp folder". I get the same message when I run some installed programs like Winzip. I've tried uninstalling the programs but then I can't reinstall as the message comes up. Running programs as the admin makes no difference. I've also run Malwarebytes and Spyhunter

I have deleted everything in appdata>local>temp.

temp and tmp are pointing to c:\users\owner\AppData\Local\Temp. I am using the beta of Firefox and I uninstalled it and first tried to reinstall using their install program. When that didn't work I went to the ftp site and got the full program. Still no joy.

I have also just noticed that save and save as in Word don't work (they do in Excel)

There are other programs besides Winzip that are exhibiting the same behaviour.

Any ideas?

I solved my problem. Corrupt user account. Created a new one and all is now well.
