I have a NT 4.0 server and I setup 8 workstations to access the server. 7 of them
setup and connected without a problem but one
will not log in at all.I posted a simular message and that tech said to make sure the domain name is in the identification page and client page and that solved that problem but this one has all that but still keep giving me this message.( no domain server available to validate your password. HELP!

This error is usually network related in that it cannot locate the physical server itself. What OS are you running on the clients? What protocol(s) are you using? If you are using TCP/IP can you ping the loopback? Can you test your NIC? Is the patch cord good?
Is the power cord securely connected to the back of the tower? (ha ha).
Get back with this info and we'll try to get it connected.

Al
atc-computing@home.com

The patch cord is good because I log on to a novell server first and then the NT login comes up. You can see everthing on the novell server. We are running IPX on the NT server for now and plan on doing TCP/IP later but on the laptop that is trying to connect is ipx and tcp/ip.We are running windows 98.The nic is good too.We are running token ring although that shouldn't make a difference since all the other ones connected.

Hey got it fixed guys.I got rid of all of the network protocols and adapters and re-installed them all and now I am connected to the server. Thanks for all the help.
