When clicking a shortcut I get an error message indicating that target cannot be found. Message: "Cannot find the file (or one of its components". Yet the web page does appear. The path is correct.

Hmmm...why don't you try cutting and pasting and see if it works.

ramino,

You will need to disable Netscape from performing actions using DDE.
Follow these steps to disable it (Win95/98/NT/2000/ME)
1.) Run Windows Explorer.
2.) From the Title bar open the "Folder options" or whatever that let's you to "File types".
3.) Find entry for Netscape or HTML.
4.) Select it and press "Edit.."
5.) Select Open from the box provided later and press "Edit.."
6.) Unselect Use DDE and close out of it.
7.) Your shortcut should work fine now (hopefully).
